Many of us tie our happiness to external factors…or feel on the short-end of the stick when comparing our lives to those of other people. But, sometimes, appearances can be deceiving. In fact, freeing ourselves from perfection can be one of the keys to being happy with who we are.
The truth is, if you can’t find happiness inside yourself, you’ll never find it in the outside world, no matter where you move. Wherever you go, there you are. You take yourself with you. This is the essence of happiness—learning to find inner contentment in any situation.

Follow these 3 simple coaching tips to a happier life.
Tip #1: Joy is your original status. It does not matter what you are pursuing in your life, whether it is business, power, education or service, you are doing so because somewhere deep inside you is a feeling that this will bring you happiness. Every single action that we perform on this planet springs from an aspiration to be happy because it is the original nature. When you were a child you were simply happy. That is your nature. The source of joy is within you; you can take charge of it.
Tip #2: Stop pursuing, start expressing. Today we are seeking happiness so vigorously that the very life of the planet is being threatened. Don’t be in pursuit of happiness. Know how to express your happiness in the world. If you look back at your life and see, the most beautiful moments in life are moments when you are expressing your joy, not when you are seeking it.
Tip #3: Movement and Dance. Many times when we are feeling sad emotionally, our physical body begins to feel it too. A feeling of heaviness, and no desire to move, are often feelings associated with sadness. By forcing ourselves in the moment to get up from our space, and move around or dance, happiness is woken up. By our external action, our internal emotions can be altered.
